INVEST INYOUR COMMUNITY
When you give to the Y, you make a meaningful difference in your community.
Give to the Y
With a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, strengthening communities is our cause. At the Y, we believe that lasting personal and social change happens when we all work together. Every day we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected and secure.
Annual Giving
We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors. We count on the generosity of our donors and volunteers to make a meaningful impact on our community.
Providing financial support is critical to the Y’s goal of ensuring that everyone has access to programs and services that support their individual health and well-being. Funds raised directly support the Y’s cause of strengthening communities by nurturing the potential of every youth and teen, improving the nation’s health and well-being, and providing opportunities to give back and support neighbors.
Gifts to the YMCA of Bristol make a direct impact on the community. Last year, financial support made it possible:
- for $180,000 to be awarded to individuals and families for memberships and programs such as Afterschool Childcare and Summer Day Camp.
- for a new program that provides children with physical and mental disabilities in our community with aquatic experiences.
- for continued support in our fight against youth obesity and Type 2 Diabetes by motivating, educating and activating children and their parents on how to begin living a healthier lifestyle.
- for continuing our history and dream of ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn water safety and how to swim by the age of nine.
Your support helps the Y deliver on our commitment:
- To nurture the potential of youth through building confidence at camp, academic enrichment in safe after-school programs, or foundational skills and values in our child care programs
- To improve the community's health and well-being through combating obesity and chronic disease by providing the support and resources people need to make positive change
- To give back and support our neighbors by empowering people with the resources to improve their lives and connect and contribute to the community
- To offer programs and services to children, adults and families who need financial assistance
