"They say writing is a solitary pursuit-and yet I shudder to imagine attempting it without the essential support of my friends and mentors at the YMCA Writer's Voice Center. It is there that I find the necessary criticism to do it better and the generous encouragement to do it again."

At the Y, we believe healthy living has as much to do with pursuing interests, passions and learning new things as it does with eating healthy and being active. Our minds and spirits need stimulus and enrichment, and we get so much more from life when we find things-and people-that inspire us. Active Older Adults ClubActive Older Adults club (AOA Club) is a free program for all senior Y members ages 50 and up, with the goal to get involved through spirit, mind and body. Activities range from trips within the community or outside the community, board game and card play, mild sports interaction or viewing, crafts and hobbies.whatever you can dream up, it can be planned! Each month, join us for a Potluck Lunch meeting. We will discuss future activities, reminisce over past outings and share recipes and crafts. Bring your favorite large covered dish, soup, or salad to share while we provide the drinks and utensils. Sandra Booher (coordinator) will provide the dessert.
