YMCA LEADERS CLUB
Teen
Leaders Club is a teen directed club recognized nationally
and worldwide. Leaders Club emphasizes the four YMCA
characteristics: Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility.
Leaders meet every other week to plan activities and
service projects. In addition they plan teen activities
at the YMCA. The foundation of Leaders Club is volunteer
leadership. It is not unusual for a Teen Leader to log
in over 100 hours of volunteer service in the course
of one school year. These are the leaders of tomorrow.
Activities planned and coordinated by Leaders Club include
community service projects, fundraisers, lock-ins, special
trips and teen rallies with other YMCA Leaders Clubs.
Meetings are held weekly at the YMCA Tuesday from 5-6
PM A week long
Leaders Training School (a lot more fun than it sounds)
in June is available to teens who meet admission criteria.
