To Our Y Family,

At the YMCA of Bristol, everything we do is guided by our Mission and our commitment to serve and support you, our members, our staff, our volunteers and our community.  This is even more critical now.  When you belong to the Y, you’re not only a member of a health and wellness facility, you’re a member of a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening our community.  In this difficult time, your YMCA has pivoted in response to community needs and has found ways to use our resources to offer solutions.

We know that you, our Y Family, and the community depend on us for many of your healthy living needs so we have provided on-demand exercise classes through the Y360 YouTube ChannelLes Mills, which provides over 95 videos across 8 categories, as well as access to a 60 day free trial of Mossa Move.  We have also partnered with Food City to provide access to registered dietician resources here.

We are continuing to follow the mandates and recommendations of our local, state and national officials. As of yesterday, Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order 27 has been extended through April 30th.  In his presentation, Lee did mention that he is going to start reopening Tennessee for business in phases starting May 1st.  We are hoping and praying to be part of the early phases of this plan.

We thank you for your continued support throughout this crisis.  Your loyalty has allowed us to do some much-needed repairs, sanitizing, cleaning and more at your Y, but most importantly it has allowed us to continue to keep our ENTIRE YMCA staff on payroll throughout this critical time. This is something only a handful of Ys throughout our country have been able to do!

Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring so much and for continuing to support the Y mission. We miss you and are counting the days to see you all again here at the Y.
Take care, be safe and God Bless!

Yours in Health,

Rick Matthews
