Have you heard the quote from Benjamin Franklin, “If you fail to plan you are planning to fail?”

Well, that goes for anything we have a goal for.  New Years’ Resolutions, meal planning, eating healthier…

Whatever it is, we need a plan to make it successful.

So, what goals do you have?  What do you want to be successful at?  What are you trying to accomplish?

Mr. Franklin and I recommend to make a plan.  And, this plan doesn’t have to be complicated or hard.  In fact, the simpler the plan the easier it is to follow!  I definitely also recommend starting small.  A very wise person once said, “Small hinges swing big doors.”  That means the small things we do are very powerful in reaching our big goals.

So, what does all this mean in a practical way?  Well, if your goal is to lose weight, then more exercise might be part of that.  If we’re starting small, how about choosing to do some sort of movement for one minute each morning when you get up?  That would be a great start!  And remember, this starting small isn’t where you’ll stay forever.  It’s just the beginning.  You can always adjust, increase, change it up anytime that feels good for you.  Just don’t allow yourself to get stuck there.  That may be where a good friend, coach, or family member would be a great accountability partner for you in moving forward.

I encourage you to make a plan AND tell someone about your plan.
