We all have had times when we’ve been on track working on goals and BAM!  Life throws a curveball we weren’t expecting.  Someone gets sick.  Finances hit a snag.  Or, we simply lose all motivation.

So, how do we manage life in general plus stay on track with our goals?  I think the key is flexibility.

We can choose to do what we can with what we have or we can just let all our hard work go to waste.

Here’s an example:

If for some reason you’re not able to continue doing the exercise you enjoy don’t just give up all exercise.  For this season, there might be a different form of exercise that your body requires.  Do what you can for now.  Perhaps in the future, you’ll be able to return to your favorite exercise.

Being flexible gives our brains the okay to change things up a bit without throwing us totally off track.  Or just automatically thinking that we just can’t and we’ll never reach our goals.

So, when life happens be flexible.
